Minister of Transport sends letter of commendation to employee who paid passenger 1.1 billion VND

In a letter sent to Vietnam Airlines Corporation on June 8, Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The highly appreciated the honesty and working attitude of employee Nguyen Van Cuong, of VIAGS Ground Services Company, for returning 1.1 billion VND to the passenger.
The Minister suggested that the management units have a suitable form of reward for Mr. Cuong so that this action can spread throughout the transport industry.

In addition to the letter of commendation, the Minister of Transport is considering awarding a certificate of merit to Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong as a good person with good deeds.
On June 7, while on duty after flight VN286 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi at Noi Bai airport, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cuong, an employee of VIAGS Ground Services Company, discovered a bag left in the luggage compartment above the seat containing USD and Vietnamese currency equivalent to 1.1 billion VND.
Immediately after discovering the items, Mr. Cuong informed the Vietnam Airlines functional department to contact the passenger to return them. On the same day, the passenger who left them behind quickly received all of the items back.
