UK Finance Minister: Russia is responsible for the economic crisis in the UK
Russia must bear responsibility for the worsening economic situation and recession in Britain, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said in an interview with The Times.
He said the campaign in Ukraine had disrupted stability in the UK. “This recession is a product of Russia and we need to restore stability as a first step towards growth,” Mr Hunt said.

He insisted that tax increases were necessary to combat domestic inflation. “If we, together with the Bank of England, can control inflation, we can prevent the rise in global interest rates, the mortgage rates that people are seeing, and we can contain the cost of lending to businesses, then we have a chance of getting back on track,” he said.The head of the British Treasury concluded.
Earlier, Sputnik reported that according to media reports, the EU and UK intend to boycott Russia at the G20 Summit.
Sanctions against Russia
After Russia launched a special military operation to demilitarize and de-fascize Ukraine, the West increased sanctions pressure on Moscow.
European Union countries are considering abandoning Russian oil and gas. Many countries have announced freezes on Russian assets and called for a break from Russian energy. All this has become a problem for the US and Europe, causing sharp increases in fuel and food prices.
