Following the horrific murder in Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province, this afternoon, July 8th, the Minister of Public Security – General Tran Dai Quang – was present at the crime scene.

The minister arrived at the scene to direct the investigation.

Before personally visiting the scene of the massacre in Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district, General Tran Dai Quang held a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Police regarding the direction of the investigation and solving of the case.

After working with the Bình Phước Provincial Police Department's leadership, Minister of Public Security Trần Đại Quang visited the scene of the massacre.

Upon arriving in Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district, General Tran Dai Quang immediately visited the villa where the horrific crime occurred to observe the scene and receive a report on the investigation's progress. The General instructed the Provincial Police to urgently deploy experienced professional teams to closely coordinate with forces from the Ministry of Public Security to collect evidence and track down the perpetrator as soon as possible.

Shortly afterwards, General Tran Dai Quang also arrived at the funeral site to pay his respects to the victims and offer words of encouragement and condolences to their families.

By noon on July 8th, police officers were still stationed at the villa of Mr. Le Van My's family to secure the scene. The scene investigation and evidence collection were still being carried out meticulously. Behind the house, adjacent to the wood processing factory, numerous relatives and family members were holding a funeral for the deceased.

Questions arise regarding the motive for the crime.

Many questions have been raised surrounding the massacre targeting Mr. Le Van My's family, but the latest information from the investigating authorities is that they are currently questioning a suspect believed to be involved. Initial assessments suggest the perpetrator murdered the entire family to steal their property; only Mr. My's youngest daughter, nearly two years old, escaped unharmed and was found sleeping in her parents' room. Workers at the Quoc Anh wood processing factory said that payday was just a few days away, and the owners, Mr. and Mrs. My, had prepared a large sum of money to pay their wages. It is highly likely the perpetrator targeted this area.

However, initial investigations at the scene revealed that all the victims had their throats cut, died with their hands and feet bound, and even Mr. My's wife had a rag stuffed in her mouth. This suggests that the brutal method of killing was not simply aimed at robbery, but may have been intended to cover up evidence or stemmed from a vendetta. Sources from the workers also indicated that not long ago, Mr. My and his wife had dismissed a group of workers for not meeting job requirements.

Another suspicion raised is that the murder of Mr. and Mrs. My was related to business competition. The brutal killings suggest the perpetrator was likely a professional assassin. Although there were signs of ransacking in the house, many valuable possessions, such as two expensive cars, were still in the garage.

A noteworthy detail is the two early morning phone calls from Mr. My's family, made between 3:30 and 4:00 AM on July 7th. One of these calls was from Mr. My's wife, Ms. Nguyen Le Thi Anh Nga, to the truck driver. According to the driver, Ms. Nga called him at that time but only briefly stated that he didn't need to pick up the truck early as he usually did.

The remaining call was from Le Thi Anh Linh (born in 1993, Mr. My's daughter) to a relative named H. during this time, but Mr. H. did not answer. When Mr. H. called Linh back, no one answered, and when he called Ms. Anh Nga, she only gave a brief, dismissive response, essentially saying that nothing was wrong.

The questions surrounding the shocking murder case are still being investigated by the authorities.
