Minister Tran Hong Ha: Do not avoid handling responsibility for Formosa case

Regarding the opinion of the National Assembly delegate of Quang Binh province who was concerned about the story that up to now no one has accepted State responsibility for the Formosa incident, speaking with the press on the sidelines of the National Assembly this morning (November 3), Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha affirmed,The Party and the State have worked very urgently, thoroughly, and synchronously to resolve issues, including reviewing and re-examining the State management responsibilities of State management agencies at all levels, but that work requires objectivity in accordance with regulations.

"The Party has the Inspection Committee, the State has inspectors, and then the agencies have party committees and executive committees. That process is done from bottom to top, done very carefully, with unity and will be announced to all people. There is no cover-up or avoidance..." - Mr. Tran Hong Ha affirmed.
Mr. Tran Hong Ha said that the Ministry is currently coordinating with the Central Inspection Committee to directly inspect. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the Party Executive Committee have reviewed and reported, waiting for higher authorities to review and conclude.

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment also said that the review of cadres is being carried out. For retired people, the Party Committee and the Central Inspection Committee will consider and handle them according to their authority.
