Minister Truong Minh Tuan invited journalists to eat sea fish in Quang Binh
At noon on April 30, after a working session with local authorities and press agencies in Quang Binh province, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan invited all journalists present at the meeting to eat seafood at Hai Yen seafood restaurant located on Nhat Le coastal tourist road, Dong Hoi city.

Minister Truong Minh Tuan requested that while waiting for the conclusion from the specialized agencies, the press agencies should advise people in the above mentioned sea areas and tourists to avoid being worried and boycotting seafood of clear origin, which would affect the production activities and lives of offshore fishermen. |
Minister Truong Minh Tuan said that yesterday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc had sent a strong message to members of the Government and directed to resolutely find out the cause, promptly announce it to the people, and strictly handle any violations discovered in the fish deaths suspected to be caused by environmental pollution in coastal waters of the provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang.
Minister Truong Minh Tuan requested that while waiting for the conclusion from the specialized agencies, the press agencies should advise people in the above mentioned sea areas and tourists to avoid being worried and boycotting seafood of clear origin, which would affect the production activities and lives of offshore fishermen.
At the same time, it is necessary to promptly detect, post on the media and report to the authorities to handle acts of illegal trading, transportation and consumption of seafood from sea areas suspected of being polluted, not ensuring food hygiene and safety, affecting public health.

Mr. Hoang Huan - Owner of Hai Yen Seafood Restaurant was very emotional when welcoming the first guest, Minister Truong Minh Tuan and the press group in over a week. Mr. Huan said that because of unclear information, tourists boycotted local seafood even though the restaurants proved that the origin of these seafood was caught by fishermen from offshore fishing grounds, and there was no sign of fish dying.
