Accordingly, implementing the Prime Minister's decision on approving the National Press Development and Management Plan to 2025, Plan No. 1738 of the Ministry of Information and Communications, most press management agencies have proactively and actively developed arrangement plans, directed their affiliated press agencies to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to develop and complete dossiers, and carry out procedures to complete the arrangement and planning of their affiliated press agencies.

To ensure proper implementation of the planning goals, plans and roadmap, the Ministry of Information and Communications requests ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provinces, centrally-run cities, and competent authorities with press agencies subject to arrangement and planning to urgently send documents to the Ministry to carry out licensing procedures, revoke licenses, and transfer to competent authorities according to regulations.

Also according to the Ministry of Information and Communications, recently the Ministry has received many reports about the situation of reporters being given letters of introduction to agencies, organizations, businesses... to work and publish news articles that are not consistent with the purpose and objectives, contrary to regulations on the duties and powers of the head of a press agency.
This has affected the reputation and image of press agencies and journalists operating legally, causing public outrage and affecting the legal operations of agencies, organizations and businesses.
Therefore, the Ministry of Information and Communications requests that agencies, organizations, and responsible individuals, within the scope of their functions and duties, consider and weigh the provision of information when receiving requests from press agencies, journalists, and reporters, ensuring the right to information of press agencies, and ensuring that press agencies operate in accordance with the law, principles, and purposes.

In addition, when contacting and providing information, responsible agencies, organizations and individuals have the right to request journalists and reporters to present a valid press card or letter of introduction and must clearly state which agency or organization they are working with, what the content is, and the specific time.
In case of detecting signs of taking advantage of the press name to conduct illegal activities or harassment, the Ministry of Information and Communications requests that agencies, organizations and responsible individuals keep evidence and report to the press department's hotline, phone number 0865.28.28.28, email:[email protected]or the hotline of the local Department of Information and Communications so that competent authorities can take measures to prevent and handle violations.
