Border Guard Command inspects combat readiness and Covid-19 prevention and control work in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - During 2 days (January 12 and 13), the Border Guard Command's working delegation led by Major General Le Quang Dao - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Command inspected the combat readiness work to protect the 13th National Congress of the Party, protect the Lunar New Year 2021 and prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic at the Nghe An Border Guard Command and the Covid-19 prevention and control posts of the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station and Phuc Son Border Guard Station.

Nghe An Border Guard has directed units to develop plans to protect groups and posts, and to determine the mindset of officers and soldiers performing tasks on the border. Through the deployment, 212 officers and soldiers of Nghe An Border Guard have volunteered to stick to groups and posts on the border to perform tasks during the Lunar New Year. The Command and subordinate units strictly maintain the number of troops, shift and on-duty regimes, grasp the situation, and are ready to coordinate with other units if any situation arises.
Especially in the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic,Nghe An Border GuardA forward command post has been established to closely and promptly direct, command, and urge units to carry out their tasks. Up to now, Nghe An Border Guard has completed entry procedures and handed over 5,776 people to authorities for quarantine to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. During the implementation of the task, the units discovered 98 cases/183 illegal entrants. Nghe An Border Guard has coordinated well with Lao authorities to grasp the situation, prevent illegal entry and exit activities, fight against all types of crimes and support people on both sides of the border to develop the economy.
