(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 31, in Vinh City, the Border Guard Command and the People's Committee of Nghe An Province held a ceremony to commend the outstanding achievements of the Provincial Border Guard Command after successfully breaking the 339L case and seizing 20 heroin cakes.
Attending and presenting the awards were Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard; Major General Nguyen Canh Hien - Deputy Commander of the Border Guard; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the report of the Special Task Force, at 0:20 on December 28, at Huoi Linh waterfall area in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune - Ky Son district (Nghe An), the anti-drug crime force of Nghe An Border Guard in coordination with Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station successfully destroyed the 339L project, arresting Ha Ba Cu, born in 1991, residing in Phu Quac 2 village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. The evidence collected at the scene was 20 heroin cakes, 1 mobile phone used for communication and some other documents.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of the Border Guard and comrade Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the ingenuity and bravery of the officers and soldiers of Project 339L and highly appreciated the role of the Provincial Border Guard in border security protection, including the fight against drug crimes. At the same time, he emphasized that with 419 km of border adjacent to Laos, Nghe An is one of the hot spots in the country in terms of transporting and trafficking of drugs across the border. Therefore, with the achievements, the Provincial Border Guard has been actively contributing to protecting the peaceful life of the people.
