(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 31st, in Vinh City, the Border Guard Command and the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a ceremony to commend the outstanding achievements of the Provincial Border Guard Command after successfully cracking case 339L, seizing 20 blocks of heroin.
Attending and presenting the awards were Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Commander of the Border Guard; Major General Nguyen Canh Hien - Deputy Commander of the Border Guard; and Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the report from the Special Investigation Team, at 0:20 AM on December 28th, in the Huoi Linh waterfall area in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district (Nghe An province), the anti-drug crime force of the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard, in coordination with the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Guard Station, successfully dismantled Special Case 339L, arresting Ha Ba Cu, born in 1991, residing in Phu Quac 2 village, Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province. The seized evidence included 20 blocks of heroin, one mobile phone used for communication, and some other documents.

In recognition of the exceptionally outstanding achievements mentioned above, the 339L Special Task Force – Border Guard Command of Nghe An province was awarded 50 million VND by the Vietnam Border Guard Command and 50 million VND by the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Commander of the Border Guard Force, and Mr. Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the resourcefulness and courage of the officers and soldiers of Special Task Force 339L and highly appreciated the role of the Provincial Border Guard Force in protecting border security, including the fight against drug crimes. They also emphasized that with 419 km of border shared with Laos, Nghe An is one of the hotspots in the country for the transportation and trafficking of narcotics across the border. Therefore, with the achievements made, the Provincial Border Guard Force has been and is actively contributing to protecting the peaceful lives of the people.
