Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Pyongyang and met with leader Kim Jong Un as North Korean officials scrambled to prepare for an upcoming summit with the United States.
Lavrov conveyed President Vladimir Putin's invitation to Kim Jong Un to visit Russia. During the meeting, Lavrov told Kim that Russia is interested in peace and progress on the Korean Peninsula.
Previously, the North Korean news agencyKCNAsaid that Mr. Sergei Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, was in Pyongyang on May 31 at the invitation of Mr. Ri Yong Ho, Foreign Minister of North Korea.
US Pacific Command changes name to counter China

This is considered the latest move by the US to deal with China's economic and military pressure in the region.

Ngày 31/5, Tổng thống Syria Bashar al-Assad đã có cuộc trả lời phỏng vấn truyền hình RT của Nga, trong đó ông cho biết chính quyền Damascus có kế hoạch giải phóng và khôi phục quyền kiểm soát toàn bộ lãnh thổ đất nước. Nhà lãnh đạo Syria cũng tuyên bố các lực lượng Mỹ nên rút ra bài học từ cuộc chiến tại Iraq và rời khỏi Syria.
Theo ông Assad, chính quyền Damascus phải giải phóng mọi vùng lãnh thổ của Syria và để thực hiện mục tiêu này, Chính phủ Syria đã thương lượng với các Lực lượng dân chủ Syria (SDF) do Mỹ hậu thuẫn.

After Dutch and Australian investigators said that the missile that shot down Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, killing 298 people, originated from a Russian military brigade, Malaysian transport authorities, Mr. Loke, made a contrary assertion at a press conference on May 30, saying that so far there is no convincing evidence among the evidence released by the international investigation team (JIT) showing that Russia is responsible for the shooting down of flight MH17.
Malaysia's transport minister said someone would be held accountable for the incident but that all the blame could not be placed on Russia and that "any other conclusions must be based on convincing evidence".
Germany spends 20.8 billion euros to solve refugee problem in 2017

According to a report released by the German Federal Government on May 30, in 2017, Germany spent a total of about 20.8 billion euros (24.2 billion USD) on the refugee issue, of which about 6.6 billion euros (7.7 billion USD) were spent to reduce the burden on states and local governments on asylum and integration costs, and about 6.8 billion euros (7.9 billion USD) were spent on resolving the causes of asylum.
According to the agreement to form the governing coalition, the German Government will continue to implement measures to support refugees and it is expected that by 2021, the budget allocated for the refugee issue will be reduced to about 15 billion euros. In 2016, the German Government spent 20.3 billion euros to deal with refugee-related issues.

South Korean prosecutors raid Korean Air headquarters

South Korean prosecutors raided Korean Air headquarters in Seoul on May 31 on suspicions of embezzlement, tax evasion and negligence by the Cho family, according toReutersA Korean Air spokesman confirmed that an investigation team had entered the headquarters but declined to comment further.
The raid came after prosecutors discovered suspicious funds in the accounts of family members of Korean Air chairman Cho Yang-ho.
