In 2021, Nghe An province was assigned by the Military Region 4 Command to organize a defense zone exercise. The Provincial Military Command has proactively and actively done a good job of advising and implementing preparations for the defense zone exercise, coordinating with departments, branches and sectors to survey and agree on plans to adjust, supplement and complete the construction of items in the exercise command center; Regularly follow the Military Region agencies to prepare documents, guide the exercise contents and scenarios; Synthesize and estimate the facilities, forces and means participating in the exercise; Survey the locations for the actual exercise and practice the actual exercise contents.

Concluding the working session, Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 4 highly appreciated the preparation work for the provincial defense area exercise of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command in 2021. In particular, in the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Commander of Military Region 4 requested the Provincial Military Command to advise the Provincial Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee to regularly check the health status of soldiers; units must control the epidemic well for the forces participating in the exercise, 100% of officers and soldiers participating in the Provincial Defense Area Exercise must be vaccinated against the Covid-19 epidemic.
