(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of January 29th, a delegation from the Fourth Military Region Command, led by Major General Tran Huu Tuat - Deputy Commander of the Military Region, visited to inspect combat readiness and extend New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the 324th Division.




Major General Tran Huu Tuat – Deputy Commander of the Military Region – met with and extended New Year greetings to officers and soldiers of the 324th Division.

On behalf of the Division's leadership and command, Colonel Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Division Commander - reported to the delegation on the results of the 2012 mission implementation, the deployment of tasks for 2013, and preparations for the Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake) in 2013.

Over the past year, under the direct guidance and supervision of the Commander of the Military Region and its agencies, and with the effective coordination of local authorities, the Division has successfully completed its annual targets and met all mission requirements in the event of any situation. In 2012, the Division was awarded a commendation flag by the Military Region Command, with the 1st Infantry Regiment receiving a flag for excellent training from the Ministry of National Defense. 100% of the grassroots Party committees achieved the "Strong and Excellent" rating, and all three regiments and four divisional agencies completed their tasks excellently and were recommended for the "Victory" flag and title. In preparation for the Lunar New Year, the Division directed its units to develop plans to ensure combat readiness, preparing the troops to celebrate the New Year with the spirit of "Joyful, healthy, safe, economical, and combat-ready."

This year's Tet celebration, in addition to organizing recreational activities and traditional folk games for soldiers in accordance with cultural traditions, cultural and sports activities, democratic flower picking, spring flower arrangement competitions, making banh chung (traditional rice cakes), and displaying five-fruit trays, units have proactively secured food supplies: 100% of units are self-sufficient in pork and vegetables, with many units achieving 100% self-sufficiency in poultry. Besides the standard rations, units have proactively allocated funds to supplement meals for officers and soldiers, ranging from 43,000 VND per person per day. Tet gifts for each officer and non-commissioned officer are also provided, ranging from 200,000 to 300,000 VND per person.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Party Committee of the 4th Military Region Command, Major General Tran Huu Tuat commended the achievements of the officers and soldiers of the 324th Division in the past period. He noted that the Division's leadership and commanders should organize the Lunar New Year celebrations for the troops with the spirit of "Joyful, healthy, safe, economical, and combat-ready," coordinating with local Party committees and authorities to contribute to maintaining political stability in the area.
