Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes to strengthen festival inspections

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strengthen the management and organization of festivals in 2016.

Specifically, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct local departments and branches to closely coordinate in the management and organization of festivals in the area, ensuring safe, effective, economical festival activities, meeting the healthy religious needs of the people.

Localities direct the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to closely coordinate with agencies, departments and branches to develop plans to implement and manage the festival organization according to the provisions of Circular No. 15/2015/TT-BVHTTDL regulating the organization of festivals and Directive No. 04/CT-BVHTTDL of the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism on strengthening the management, organization and implementation of civilized lifestyle in festival activities in 2016.

In addition, strengthen inspection work before, during and after the festival, promptly detect and handle violations occurring in the management and organization of festivals in the area.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will establish a number of working groups to inspect cultural and entertainment activities, celebrate the Party, welcome the Year of the Monkey, and manage and organize festivals in a number of localities before, during and after the Lunar New Year.
