Ministry of Health announces Covid-19 patient entered the country illegally through a trail
This evening, December 26, the Ministry of Health announced a new case of Covid-19, the patient had just illegally entered Vietnam through an opening whose location had not yet been verified.
According to the Ministry of Health, 1 new case (Patient 1440) is an illegal entrant and has been quarantined in Vinh Long. Specifically as follows:
CASE 1440 (BN1440): male, 32 years old, Vietnamese nationality, with an address in Nhon Phu commune, Mang Thit district, Vinh Long province. BN1440 is a case from Myanmarillegal entry through trails and openings(location being verified) at 2am on December 24 and returned home in Vinh Long.

Immediately after returning home, the patient's family informed the local police to quarantine and promptly collect samples in Vinh Long. On December 24, the Vinh Long Provincial Center for Disease Control collected samples and sent them to the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City for testing on December 25.
The Vinh Long province health sector has coordinated with the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City and related units to continue to expand the investigation. This is the 1,440th Covid-19 case recorded since the beginning of the epidemic in Vietnam.
On the same day, the Ministry of Health announced that it had continued to inject volunteers with the 50 mcg dose of the Covid-19 vaccine produced in Vietnam. There will be 20 volunteers injected with this dose out of a total of 60 volunteers vaccinated this time.
