Ministry of Health urgently requests strict implementation of vaccination work
On September 16, the Ministry of Health issued urgent Document No. 7717/BYT-DP to the Department of Health of provinces and cities nationwide regarding strict implementation of vaccination work.
Do not vaccinate for ages other than those recommended by the Ministry of Health. |
However, recently, the Ministry of Health received information reflecting that some vaccination facilities have vaccinated children under 18 years old against COVID-19 and combined 2 types of vaccines not according to the Ministry of Health's instructions.
This may affect the consistency in directing, operating and implementing Vietnam's vaccination strategy. To strictly implement the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health requests the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities to continue directing vaccination facilities to organize vaccination for all cases aged 18 and over according to the provisions of Resolution No. 21/NQ-CP dated February 26, 2021 of the Government on the purchase and use of COVID-19 vaccines, Decision No. 3355/QD-BYT dated July 8, 2021 of the Ministry of Health on promulgating the Plan to implement the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in 2021-2022.
Do not inject for ages other than those indicated.
The Ministry of Health recommends not to vaccinate people of ages outside the Ministry of Health's instructions. In case there is any adjustment in the age of COVID-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health will have the following instructions.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health requests the Departments of Health of provinces and cities to direct and guide vaccination facilities in the area to use a combination of 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the instructions in Official Dispatch No. 6030/BYT-DP dated July 27, 2021 and Official Dispatch No. 7548/BYT-DP dated September 10, 2021 of the Ministry of Health on injecting 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine. If there are other ways to combine vaccines, the Ministry of Health will provide instructions later.
Temporarily stop or suspend vaccination activities if they violate professional regulations.
Localities also need to speed up the vaccination progress, inspect vaccination facilities and vaccination points in the area to promptly guide and direct units to strictly implement regulations. Temporarily stop or suspend vaccination activities if there are violations of professional regulations, errors occur and handle them according to regulations.
