AFF Cup 2018 draw: Vietnam in an 'easy' group!
(Baonghean.vn) - The draw ceremony for the group stage of the AFF Cup 2018 is currently taking place, and the opponents of the Vietnam National Team in the group stage have been revealed.
This year's tournament will be played in a new format. The teams will be divided into two groups and will compete in a round robin format. Each team will play two away matches and two home matches, depending on the draw.

AFF Cup 2018 group stage draw results:
Group A: Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam.
Group B: Singapore, East Timor/Brunei, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand.
Group A with Vietnam is considered quite easy compared to Group B. However, if Vietnam passes the group stage, it will face many difficulties because the opponent of Coach Park Hang Seo and his team in the semi-finals will be either Indonesia or Thailand.
The AFF Cup 2018 will take place from November 8 to December 15 with the participation of 10 teams divided into two groups. From the semi-finals, the teams will play home and away matches. East Timor and Brunei will play two home and away play-off matches on September 3 and September 11.
The prizes for the top-ranked teams are $200,000 for the champion, $75,000 for the runner-up, and the two third-place teams each receive $50,000.
