Draw for the Youth Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 8, Nghe An Newspaper, Department of Culture & Sports, Song Lam Nghe An Joint Stock Company held a press conference for the 22nd Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament - 2018 and conducted a draw to divide the competition groups for 28 participating teams.
Attending the press conference were comrades Tran Duy Ngoan - Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association of Nghe An province; Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee; Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports; leaders of SLNA Club, representatives of press agencies, reporters of press agencies stationed in the province, sponsors and representatives of 28 football teams participating in the tournament.

At the press conference, the Organizing Committee of the 22nd Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth Football Tournament 2018 provided full information and answered questions from the teams about the tournament. The Organizing Committee also conducted a draw to divide the competition groups.

In the Youth age group, 10 teams are divided into 3 groups.(Group A takes the first and second teams to the semi-finals; Group B and C takes the first team to the semi-finals).
Group A: Vinh City, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan
Group B: Do Luong, Cua Lo, Quynh Luu
Group C: Yen Thanh, Que Phong, Quy Hop

In the Children's age group, 18 teams are divided into 6 groups (The 6 group winners and the 2 runners-up with the highest goal difference will advance to the quarter-finals; teams will meet to decide the winner, no draws.
Group A: Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen, Yen Thanh
Group B: Tuong Duong, Nghi Loc, Nghia Dan
Group C: Do Luong, Anh Son, Hoang Mai
Group D: Quynh Luu, Quy Hop, Thai Hoa
Group E: Con Cuong, Quy Chau, Nam Dan
Group F: Vinh City, Tan Ky, Dien Chau

The Youth Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup was established in 1996 and has become an annual traditional tournament of Nghe An province. The tournament has had a strong influence and received special attention from provincial leaders, all levels, sectors, districts, parents and teenagers and children.
The tournament has created a healthy and useful playground for teenagers and children during the summer, contributing to promoting the socialized sports movement in the province, the development of Nghe An football and the whole country.

This year, the Youth Football Tournament - Nghe An Newspaper Cup continues to receive attention from all levels, sectors, localities and sponsors. In addition to Saigon - Nghe Tinh Beer Joint Stock Company, which is the main sponsor and has accompanied the Tournament for 22 years, there are 36 co-sponsors, notably Golden City Company, Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, Tecco Joint Stock Company... and many other enterprises.

The 22nd Youth Football Tournament of Nghe An Newspaper Cup 2018 will take place from June 9 to 15, 2018. This year's tournament has 336 players, 28 teams participating, including 18 Children's teams and 10 Youth teams from 21 districts, cities and towns in the province. There are 8 localities participating in both youth and children's age groups, including: Hung Nguyen, Do Luong, Quynh Luu, Nam Dan, Vinh City, Quy Hop, Thanh Chuong and Yen Thanh... The locality without a team participating in the tournament is Ky Son district.

In the 2018 season, the two winning youth and children teams will be awarded cups, flags, medals and a prize of 30 million VND/team; the two second-place teams will be awarded flags, medals and a prize of 10 million VND/team; the third-place teams will be awarded flags, medals and a prize of 5 million VND/team.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to players who studied well and played football well; the titles of Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, and Player with the most goals.
