Japanese green tea powder, also known as Japanese Matcha, is made from carefully selected, high-quality tea buds and processed without the drying stage like regular teas. Therefore, the green tea leaves have a distinctive flavor and contain a higher nutritional content than other types of green tea.

Besides its refreshing and beautifying effects, matcha green tea is also very good for health. The catechins and EGCg in the tea help increase the ability to prevent cancer, are beneficial for people with cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve memory and concentration. Due to its high quality and numerous health and beauty benefits, Japanese matcha is currently a best-selling product in Vinh City.

However, compared to packaged green tea produced in Vietnam, Japanese green tea is quite expensive, with a 100g package costing 220,000 VND. Therefore, this product is mainly purchased by tea house owners, Japanese restaurants, and spas as an ingredient for beverages, pastry fillings, and beauty treatments for women.

Mr. Dau Xuan Trung, owner of a tea house on Nguyen Van Cu Street in Vinh City, said: "Most of our customers are young people. Japanese matcha is used as the main ingredient to make various milk teas and fruit teas. Because of its distinctive aroma, which doesn't get mixed with the milky smell or burn like some other types of tea, Japanese matcha is very easy to prepare into drinks for all types of customers."
Besides being used as a beverage, Japanese matcha is also purchased by many spas and women to use in beauty masks. Japanese matcha contains a high amount of antioxidants, which have anti-aging properties, help fight the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, rejuvenate the skin, and prevent various diseases.
Currently, many stores import Japanese matcha to serve customers, but due to its high demand, the product is often in short supply and cannot meet market needs.
