Bournemouth 1-4 Tottenham: The chicken is still "young"

Compared to the loss to Juventus in the Champions League, coach Pochettino made three changes for the away trip to Bournemouth. Serge Aurier, Victor Wanyama, Danny Rose came on from the start to replace Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier and Ben Davies.

The disruption on the wings made Spurs falter in the early minutes. Bournemouth exploited this area when Aurier and Rose played less solidly.

Bournemouth warned the visitors in the fourth minute with a lightning counter-attack that ended with Junior Stanislas hitting the crossbar. But the England winger did not have to regret for long.

Just three minutes later, Stanislas opened the scoring with a decisive left-footed shot into the corner. In this goal, the away team's defender Rose was unable to stop Adam Smith, who crossed for Stanislas.

In the lead, Tottenham was at a huge disadvantage when their main striker Harry Kane was injured. In the 34th minute, the striker who has scored 24 goals in the Premier League this season suffered an ankle injury after colliding with goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

Lamela replaced Kane but Son Heung-min was actually the highest player in attack. The Korean player tried to move wide to create space for his teammates.

Son opened the ball down the wing for Aurier in the 35th minute, and then the Ivorian defender crossed accurately for Dele Alli to swoop in and equalize.

Kane injured his ankle and left the field early.

Alli leveled the score.

Bournemouth caused Tottenham a lot of trouble with their fast and aggressive play. In the first half, the home team only had 32% possession but had twice as many shots as Spurs (8 compared to 4).

But in the second half, Bournemouth could not maintain the confidence of Son Heung-min's excellent form. The Korean striker helped Spurs take a 2-1 lead with a volley in the 62nd minute.

It was Son who ended the home team's hopes with a goal in the 87th minute. The 25-year-old finished off a quick counter-attack by dribbling past goalkeeper Begovic before firing into an empty net. Aurier headed home the winner to make it 4-1 as the home team were losing their nerve.

Son scored two goals.

Aurier completed Tottenham's comeback.

With a convincing 4-1 win, Tottenham took third place on the rankings from Liverpool with 61 points after round 30. However, Kane's injury left a big worry for coach Pochettino and his team as they are facing a sprint race in the Premier League.

144 - The trip to Bournemouth marks Mauricio Pochettino's 144th Premier League game in charge of Tottenham. The Argentine manager has equalled Harry Redknapp's record for most Spurs games in the Premier League. In 144 games with Spurs, Pochettino has won 82, drawn 35 and lost 27.
