Quy Chau Commune Police have just issued a notice stating that vehicles are not allowed to pass through National Highway 48 through Bu Bai slope due to deep flooding.

Only 2km long but winding and dangerous, this is the slope on Highway 48 that makes all sleeper buses 'give up'

Bu Bai Slope (also known as Pu Pai) is one of the longest slopes on National Highway 48 connecting National Highway 1A to the northwestern communes of Nghe An. However, because this slope is long, narrow, and dangerous, traffic through here becomes difficult. This is also one of the reasons why the authorities have not been able to grant a license for sleeper buses to the northwestern communes of Nghe An.
