A photo of senior advisers gathered around US President Donald Trump when he first took office accidentally became a harbinger of the "storms" in the White House when a series of advisers resigned or were fired.

A photo is attracting public attention after White House chief strategist Steve Bannon was fired on August 18.

It was a photo taken in January of senior advisers gathered around President Donald Trump's desk. The photo includes President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, White House press secretary Sean Spicer, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, and chief strategist Steve Bannon.

It is worth mentioning that currently only President Trump and Vice President Pence remain in the administration.

National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was fired after reports emerged about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak. Flynn is said to have discussed US sanctions against Russia with Russian officials even before President Trump took office.

Following Mr. Flynn, White House Press Secretary Spicer also resigned in June after public opinion was uproar over his statements to the press.

In July, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was also fired and was reportedly involved in internal administration infighting.

Mr. Bannon was fired yesterday after making statements that contradicted the administration's stance on the North Korea issue. He said that the Trump administration would not take any military action against North Korea.

However, this photo does not fully demonstrate the chaos in President Trump's staff. In late July, President Trump also decided to fire Mr. Anthony Scaramucci, White House Communications Director, after only 10 days of appointment.

Meanwhile, many of Mr. Trump’s advisors have also proactively submitted their resignations. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn announced on August 18 that he would withdraw from his role as special advisor to President Trump after facing criticism. The billionaire was accused of advising the President on policies that benefited his own investment activities.

Earlier, a series of CEOs in two of President Trump's economic advisory councils also announced their withdrawal in protest of his statements about the riots in Virginia last weekend. Mr. Trump then decided to dissolve these two councils.

Observers say the White House is undergoing a major reorganization and will be a big challenge for Mr. Trump, especially in the context that his staff is still lacking many positions despite having been in office for more than half a year.
