According to AFP news agency, the letter is one of many documents related to the world's special scientist that was auctioned in Jerusalem on March 6.
Handwritten letter sent by scientist Einstein in 1928 from Berlin to a mathematician, presenting his scientific views on the "Third stage of relativity".
An unnamed buyer took possession of the letter for $103,700.
According to auction house Winner's, the letter was written during "one of the most exciting and vivid periods of Einstein's scientific career" when he was trying to find the greatest scientific discoveries of the last century.
It also includes a second note written by Einstein on the back of an envelope to condense his thoughts.
The amount of money sold for the letter, although very large, is still nothing compared to the price of 1.56 million USD that a buyer spent in a previous auction to own a letter from a genius physicist talking about the secret of happiness.
The letter was auctioned last October and was initially valued at around $8,000.
Also on March 6, many letters and photos related to the 1921 Nobel Prize winner in physics were sold for thousands of dollars.
Winner's auctioneer Gal Wiener said the artefacts "reveal the complex personality of the great scientist".
The German-born scholar was a member of the board of trustees of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem until his death.
