Thanh has just had a very successful tournament when he excellently won the gold medal in the Youth Kickboxing Tournament. He participated in this tournament in the 75 kg weight category for the age group of 14-16. Thanh's path to the final match was quite easy because he completely dominated his opponents. Thanh showed the spirit of a champion when he won most of his matches by knockout.
Recalling the final match, Thanh said: “When the match was about to start, I was a bit worried that I would repeat the mistakes of previous years, but when the match started, I put aside all my worries, carefully observed my opponent's moves, and gradually figured out my opponent's way of fighting, thereby proactively attacking and taking over the space, not giving my opponent time to react. By attacking first and continuously, I knocked out my opponent in the first round.”
To get that result is the result of Bui Duy Chi Thanh's tireless efforts, each move does not come naturally, but is a process of hard training.
Sincerely confided: "Every martial artist who wants to be successful, in addition to practicing hard, needs to have their own special moves. As for me, after a period of training and being instructed by the coaches, I have also acquired the move "Xing tay truong". When performing this move, my left hand will swing around to the opponent's face with great force. If I perform the technique correctly, it will surprise the opponent and make them unable to react."

Bui Duy Chi Thanh was born into a family with a tradition of martial arts. His father is martial arts master Bui Duy Vinh - Head of Kickboxing and Boxing Department of the Provincial Sports Training Center. Since he was a child, Thanh was taken by his father to watch his brothers practice and compete, gradually his love for martial arts permeated his body without him knowing.
When I was in 6th grade, I asked my father to let me practice with my older brothers and sisters. At that time, Thanh was the youngest and had the smallest body in the class. When I first started practicing, I only thought that I would practice to improve my health and practice courage and strength, but I didn’t think about practicing to become a professional athlete.
Thanh recalls his first time in the ring: “In the first match, when I saw my opponent, my training partner, with a large body, I was very scared, but then in the second and third rounds, I got used to it and was able to take the blows more stubbornly. That match, I lost and it was also a match that I will never forget."

After many years of practicing Kickboxing, Thanh has gradually matured and become more outstanding than his fellow trainees. The biggest turning point was when he entered 10th grade. He faced two forks in his life: continuing to focus on studying culture to be able to take the university entrance exam, or following the path of a professional athlete to inherit the family tradition.
After consulting his father and wanting to live by his passion, Thanh decided to follow the path of a professional athlete. Before becoming a professional boxer, Thanh still clearly remembers the words of his father, martial arts master Bui Duy Vinh: "If you follow the path of professional martial arts, you must really try to practice, only by sweating on the training floor can you hope to defeat all opponents in the ring."
After a period of training and competing, Bui Duy Chi Thanh has also reaped medals for himself. In 2018 and 2019, Thanh participated in the National Youth Kickboxing Tournament and won a Silver Medal. Also in 2019, Thanh won a Gold Medal at the Lang Sen Martial Arts Tournament.

In addition to martial arts training, Thanh always builds a reasonable daily schedule to be able to study cultural subjects well. Thanh's overall English scores in recent years have been quite good, not inferior to his classmates.
In particular, Thanh also has a hobby and talent for painting. Thanh said: “I am very passionate about fine arts, especially black and white portrait painting. I have studied painting at several centers. Every day, I set aside a limited amount of my time to live with my passion on white canvases. Painting makes my personality calmer and I feel more refreshed, especially when I draw a satisfactory picture."
"Thanh is a promising athlete. If he trains seriously, he will be a typical Kickboxing athlete of the country in the future.
Winning the national youth Kickboxing gold medal will be a "springboard" for Bui Duy Chi Thanh to aim to become an excellent athlete contributing to Vietnamese sports in the future./.
