Bui Tien Dung burst into tears after being criticized after his catwalk
Thanh Hoa Club's goalkeeper said he can endure all the criticism aimed at him, but the insult to his parents hurts him.
On the evening of April 22, Bui Tien Dung was the center of attention when he appeared as the vedette at a show of Vietnam Fashion Week. After the show, in addition to compliments, the hero of U23 Vietnam received a lot of criticism, even insults and slander.
In an online interview on the morning of April 24, Tien Dung revealed that his relatives, including his parents, were also judged. This made him feel hurt. "There are people who are very harsh. If you have to say anything, say it directly to me, don't insult my loved ones. Don't mention anything bad about them. I feel hurt by those words," the Thanh Hoa Club goalkeeper shared with tears in his eyes.

According to Tien Dung, he accepted to attend the fashion show because of his personal interest, wanting to experience new things. Before that, he consulted the Club and received support:"I enjoyed the experience, even though I knew that I would receive mixed reactions afterward. Everyone in the club also encouraged me not to pay attention to other people's opinions if I really liked it. Because this activity was during my break time, not because I skipped competitions and training to participate."
Tien Dung was Thanh Hoa's number one goalkeeper under coach Marian Mihail. However, after the Romanian strategist left, the U23 Vietnam goalkeeper was no longer valued by assistant coach Hoang Thanh Tung. In the last three matches, Tien Dung had to sit on the bench for his senior Thanh Thang.
"Each coach has his own philosophy so he will choose players that suit that. I completely respect the coach's choice," Tien Dung shared about coach Thanh Tung's decision to choose personnel. He said he will have to try harder to be able to win an official position in the near future.
