Dengue fever outbreak in the coastal area of ​​Nghe An province.

(Baonghean.vn) - In addition to Dien Thinh commune with 18 cases, the dengue fever outbreak has now spread to 4 more communes in Dien Chau district (Nghe An province) with a total of 23 cases.

To date, Dien Thinh has recorded 18 cases of dengue fever in hamlets 1, 2, and 6, and the outbreak has spread to four more communes: Dien Phu (1 case), Dien Ngoc (2 cases), Dien Lam (1 case), and Dien Bich (1 case), bringing the total number of cases to 23.

Currently, the Dien Chau health sector is implementing drastic measures to prevent and control the epidemic, including: focusing on treating patients; closely monitoring the affected areas; and educating and mobilizing the public to clear vegetation and kill mosquitoes.

With the current heavy rainfall making chemical spraying difficult, and mosquitoes reproducing rapidly, the risk of a widespread outbreak is very high.
