Drug trafficking
- On the morning of October 27th in Vinh City, the Supreme People's Court opened a full appellate trial against Nguyen Huu Sam (born in 1962), residing in Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen district, for the crime of illegally trading narcotics.
According to the initial verdict, in early 2003, Sam purchased 6 kg of opium from Va Cha Cho for resale. Considering that the defendant had surrendered to the investigating authorities, the panel of judges decided to reduce his sentence from life imprisonment to 20 years in prison.
- On the afternoon of October 27th, the Provincial Court opened a trial against Dinh Bat Duc (born in 1979) and Bui Van Nam (born in 1980), both residing in Thanh Yen commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province. At 9:25 AM on October 24th, at 2 Le Hong Phong Street (Hung Binh Ward), the administrative management team caught Ho Chi Linh, born in 1987, residing in Hamlet 4, Hoa Thang Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, in the act of illegally possessing narcotics, seizing 0.11g of heroin.
