Banana bunch is 2.5m long, produces hundreds of bunches and still "lays" fruit

In the first days of the traditional New Year, many curious people came to see the unique banana bunch of Mr. Dong Ngoc Dung's family in village 4, Nghia Dong commune - Quang Ngai city.

Up to this point, although the measured length is nearly 2.5m with a total estimated number of over 100 bunches, Mr. Dung's family's banana bunch still shows no signs of stopping and continues to "lay" fruit.

According to the owner, this banana variety originated in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. It was brought back from his family's home garden around June and began to bear fruit in August of the lunar calendar.

On the occasion of the recent traditional New Year (December 26th of the lunar calendar), the first bunches of bananas began to ripen. This bunch of bananas grew at a fairly fast rate and became longer, with the number of bunches constantly increasing and showing no signs of stopping.

The first bunches of the fruit are of normal size and arranged fairly evenly.

Through observation, the first bunches of fruit were quite normal in size (about half the size of an adult's wrist), arranged quite evenly. The later bunches had smaller and shorter fruits. Because many people witnessed and asked, Mr. Dung tied a bow and took a piece of cardboard with the words "Happy New Year, wishing everyone peace and prosperity. Lucky bananas, see if you get rich" and hung it right on the bunch.
