Nghe An Post Office donates blood for humanitarian purposes.
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 26th,The Nghe An Provincial Post Office organized a Blood Donation Day.

Attending the event were leaders from the Nghe An Post Office, the Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and 313 volunteer blood donors who are officials, civil servants, and employees of the Post Office, including 109 post office employees from communes throughout the province.

Currently, blood banks in hospitals throughout the province are experiencing a shortage of blood. Therefore, blood donation programs like the one organized by the Nghe An Post Office are very practical actions aimed at meeting the needs of hospitals for heart surgery, bone marrow transplants, organ transplants, etc., which require a significant amount of donated blood.

By mid-July, the blood donation program in Nghe An province had collected 1,505 units of blood, a 150% increase in blood demand compared to 2014. In 2015, the province's blood requirement is over 20,000 units. The Nghe An Post Office's blood donation event is expected to provide approximately 300 units of blood. This is a noble act by the staff and employees of the provincial Post Office in donating blood to save lives.
