Nghe An Provincial Post Office launches campaign to pay pensions, social insurance benefits, and meritorious people at home
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial Post Office mobilized nearly 950 officers, employees and workers to participate with the determination to make safe and accurate payments to beneficiaries.
This morning (April 16), staff of the Post Offices of 21 districts, cities and towns in Nghe An province simultaneously launched the payment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and meritorious people's benefits right at home. This is the first payment plan that the Social Insurance, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Provincial Post Office have agreed to implement to ensure safety during the Covid-19 pandemic in accordance with Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister; Official Dispatch No. 1943 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province dated March 31, 2020 on the payment of pensions, social insurance benefits, and unemployment insurance benefits for April and May.

Ms. Bui Thi Minh - Director of the Provincial Post Office said that the total amount of pensions, social insurance allowances, and benefits for people with meritorious services to the revolution for the two months (April and May) to be paid on this occasion is nearly 1,387 billion VND for nearly 216,000 people. Of which, the largest amount is pensions with nearly 1,107 billion VND, paid to more than 143,000 people.
To complete the plan scheduled for May 20, the Provincial Post Office mobilized nearly 950 officers, employees and workers to participate, determined to make safe and accurate payments.
Previously, the Post Offices of districts, cities and towns had thoroughly informed all workers about the political significance, urgent requirements of payment work in April and May during the period of disease prevention and control, and support mechanisms so that workers could understand and responsibly participate in implementation. Develop detailed payment plans for each block and hamlet; coordinate with the provincial Social Insurance to separate the payment list for each block and hamlet.

“The provincial post office has worked with authorities at all levels to facilitate and support district post offices, such as regularly disseminating information on the loudspeaker system of wards and communes so that beneficiaries are aware of changes in payment methods and payment times according to the payment schedule established by the post office; block and hamlet chiefs have supported post office staff in providing lists of families subject to quarantine and verifying addresses of beneficiaries in the area. The provincial post office has also paid additional support costs for staff who directly make payments at home of nearly 1.1 billion VND,” Ms. Bui Thi Minh added.
