The whole village is searching for a woman suspected of being raped and her body dumped in the river.

On February 3, authorities and local people were still trying to find the whereabouts of Ms. Thai Thi LN (21 years old, residing in Que Phuoc commune, Nong Son district, Quang Nam province).

People of Dong An village went to the river to search for Ms. N., who was reported missing since January 31.

According to Mr. Huynh Ba Cuong - Chairman of Que Phuoc Commune People's Committee, today the commune government continues to mobilize boats to search for Ms. N. Currently, the location of Ms. N's disappearance has been isolated, so people will focus on searching.

Today is the third day of searching but Ms. N's whereabouts have still not been discovered.

On February 3, the Criminal Police Department of Quang Nam Province Police said that the unit is still detaining Pham Tuan (born in 1989, residing in Que Phuoc Commune, Nong Son District) for his involvement in the disappearance of Ms. N.

According to Tuan's initial statement to the investigation agency, the subject intended to rape Ms. N. but this girl suddenly had an epileptic seizure and died. Seeing that, Tuan pushed the victim's body into the Thu Bon River with the intention of concealing his crime.

Likereported that previously, on January 31, when Ms. N. did not return home, her family organized a search but had no results, so they reported it to the police.

At a temple in Dong An village (near the Thu Bon river bank), authorities found Ms. N's underwear. According to Ms. N's family, Ms. N. is mentally disabled and has a history of epilepsy.

The case is being further investigated by the Criminal Police Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police.
