(Baonghean.vn) -To practically celebrate the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd; the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2013) and the 8th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security, on August 12th, the Nghe An Provincial Police solemnly organized the 2013 People's Public Security Force Regulations, Military, and Martial Arts Competition.

Following the preliminary rounds at the regional competitions, the organizing committee selected eight teams representing the police departments and districts throughout the province to participate in this year's competition. The competition, held over two days, included the following events: shooting with the CZ83 military pistol; troop review and practice of drill movements; performance of some police ceremonies; practice of martial arts techniques; and two comprehensive police martial arts routines. The commanders were required to demonstrate their mindset, skills, and methods of leading the team.

The police mixed martial arts routines were performed skillfully by the competing teams.

At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Team No. 6, comprising units from the Administrative Police and Social Order Management sector, and the Second Prize to Team No. 7, comprising units from the Security sector. Team No. 2 (Police of Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong districts and Thai Hoa town) and Team No. 3 (Police of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, and Tan Ky districts) shared the Third Prize. The Organizing Committee also awarded four consolation prizes to Teams No. 1, 4, 5, and 8; the Best Combined Martial Arts Performance award to Competition Cluster No. 6; the Best Marching Competition award to Team No. 2; and the Best Answer to Police Regulations question award to Team No. 1. Captain Nguyen Van Thong – Team Leader of Team No. 7 – won first prize for the best commander.

In addition, the organizing committee also awarded first, second, and third prizes to teams and individuals in the pistol shooting competition.
