(Baonghean.vn) - The police of Hung Phuc ward (Vinh City) have just arrested two individuals for illegally trading and possessing firecrackers.

Police in Hung Phuc ward seized 28 kg of firecrackers.

At 8 PM on February 8th, police officers from Hung Phuc ward, while on patrol, discovered a young man illegally selling firecrackers at the Vinh Train Station intersection.

The police seized 4kg of firecrackers. During questioning, the young man identified himself as Cao Sỹ Thanh Long, born in 1996, residing in Hamlet 4, Diễn Lộc Commune, Diễn Châu District, Nghệ An Province, and working as an electronics repairman. Long admitted to being lured by some unscrupulous individuals into selling firecrackers for high profits. He obtained the goods from Trần Thị Thủy in Hamlet 12, Diễn Lộc Commune, Diễn Châu District, and transported them to Vinh for sale, where he was caught red-handed by the Hưng Phúc Ward police.

Based on the suspect's confession, the Hung Phuc ward police requested permission from the Vinh City police to conduct an expanded investigation and seized 430 firecrackers and one bundle of 36 mortar firecrackers from Tran Thi Thuy's house. The total amount of firecrackers seized by the Hung Phuc ward police in both raids was 28 kg, all manufactured in China.

Currently, the ward police are finalizing the paperwork to transfer the suspect and evidence to the city police for processing.
