Singer Erik: 'I used to be like Chi Pu'
In response to the "wave" of public opinion against Chi Pu's singing, singer Ghen - Erik spoke up to express his sympathy. He shared that he understands Chi Pu's feelings right now.
In the music industry, Erik is still a young, promising singer. He participated in The Voice Kids 2013 but is better known as a member of the band Monstar.
In 2016, Erik made a splash with the song Sau tat ca, winning many domestic awards and helping him get nominated at the Devotion Music Awards for the category: New Artist of the Year. Recently, the song Ghen marked the combination between Erik and Min in the project of musician Khac Hung, also creating a "fever" loved by young audiences. Currently, Erik is attracting attention with the program Perfect Couple - Romantic & Bolero, airing on VTV3 every Thursday.
But when he first started his career, holding the mic and singing live, he also received many mixed opinions about his voice. That was the starting point for Erik's sympathy for Chi Pu's current "event".
"Personally, I understand Chi Pu's feelings now. Because before, I was like her. When I was a 17-year-old boy debuting to the public, the audience also said that I had a bad live performance, only had good looks and this and that. So I understand the feelings that Chi Pu is going through" - Erik confided.
But after about 2 years of hard study and progress, Erik said he is much more confident in his singing ability, so he predicts that time and practice will also help Chi Pu change.
"I think Chi Pu is currently lacking a bit of confidence. She just needs time to perfect her abilities and I believe Chi Pu can absolutely succeed" - Erik affirmed.

Not denying that he is a young singer and is quite influenced by Kpop, Erik believes that Kpop has "ingested" quite deeply into the Vietnamese music industry, so it is understandable that the market will classify professional, traditional singers with idol singers as it is today. Accordingly, there are singers who almost cannot sing but they still seriously invest and take care of their products, the audience still accepts. And he believes that, in Vietnam, currently Chi Pu is a person who dares to do and dares to invest in a product of such quality.
"That is something to be commended. As for her ability, I think Chi Pu needs time to improve herself. I know Chi Pu has dreamed of becoming a singer for a long time and I believe that if she dares to do it, nothing can stop her. So if there is an opinion that bans her from singing, I think it is a bit too much" - the singer of Sau Tat Ca expressed her opinion.
