Singer Minh Thuan passed away at the age of 47

After a series of days of fighting the terrible cancer, the once famous male singer breathed his last at 8am on September 18.

After half a month of lung cancer treatment at Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital (HCMC), Minh Thuan breathed his last at 8:15 a.m. on September 18, at the age of 47.

Relatives of the singer and actor said his health was very weak and he could not receive treatment. He passed away in his sleep.

However, it was not until 3:00 p.m. the same day that his relatives and family as well as the treating doctor officially released this announcement.

Currently, singer Minh Thuan has been brought home by his family so that relatives, friends and colleagues can pay their respects at his home at 73 Tu Cuong Street, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The art world and the public were shocked to receive the news of singer Minh Thuan's death.

The funeral for the singer of Tinh Tho will take place at his home. The family has not yet officially announced the funeral.

Minh Thuan was born in 1969, a famous artist at the same time as Phuong Thanh and Lam Truong. Colleagues who have worked with him always recognize his enthusiasm, seriousness, thoughtfulness and meticulousness.

Minh Thuan had a stroke and was diagnosed with lung disease in August 2015. The male singer has been treated with both Western and Eastern medicine. A few weeks ago, he took traditional medicine and went to a pagoda in Binh Thanh with the hope that his condition would improve, but things did not go as planned.

He was taken to the emergency room by his family in a state of respiratory failure and had to be put on ventilator support for many days.

By the evening of September 5, after being treated by doctors at Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, he was fully awake and left the intensive care unit.

In the past few days, in addition to Phuong Thanh who was on duty at the hospital, many other artists such as Cat Tuong, Huu Binh, Dam Vinh Hung, Cam Ly, Thu Minh, MC Anh Khoa... also came to visit and encourage Minh Thuan and his family.

On the morning of September 8, Minh Thuan's family wrote a letter informing about the singer's current health condition and thanking everyone. This information was updated by Phuong Thanh on social media.

Recently, artists also organized a music night called Artist Love at Khong Ten tea room (HCMC) and donated 300 million VND to him.
