Thuy Tien was upset and publicly released a video of a woman leading her to give charity money but then asking the recipient to pay her 40% of the money received.

As of October 18, the Central region of our country has experienced 12 days of heavy rain and floods, killing 64 people and leaving many missing. Heavy rains caused floods and landslides, leaving tens of thousands of houses submerged up to the roof... and will continue in the coming days, greatly affecting the lives and activities of the people...

SingerThuy Tienis one of the pioneering artists who flew directly to the flooded area to support charity with money and necessities for the people thanks to the appeal of the audience through social networks. She has publicly received more than 40 billion VND from the audience and people across the country to help the people of Central Vietnam.

On the evening of October 18, Thuy Tien shared that she encountered a case where a person took advantage of her charity work to embezzle money from people in flood-affected areas.

Specifically, when hearing that Thuy Tien would go to the Central region to do charity work, a woman contacted her to call for help for people in the flooded area, so Thuy Tien's charity team stayed to support.

"After I went to Hue, my friend came to the hotel crying and telling about the pitiful case of the two old people whose house was half flooded, but I told him I would only give it to them directly without going through an intermediary. Yesterday, I went to visit and saw that the house was really flooded, so I gave them 8 million VND.

After that, this friend took us to another village, but when we got there, we saw that the house's living conditions were not as they seemed, so I went somewhere else and did not go with him anymore. After our group left, he came back and asked the grandparents to give him back 40% of 8 million, which is 3 million," Thuy Tien recounted.

On the afternoon of October 18, while distributing gifts in Quang Tri, Thuy Tien received information about embezzlement of charity money, so she sent local people to verify the truth and filmed the clip. After distributing charity gifts in Quang Tri, Thuy Tien directly handled the matter.

Thuy Tien was extremely upset and shared this story on her personal page.

In the shared clip, Thuy Tien directly confronted the woman who had embezzled the charity money with words and images. Initially, this woman repeatedly denied wrongdoing and asked to meet the couple to confirm, but Thuy Tien firmly refused and said that she had the information and evidence in hand, which was information from the couple, the surrounding people as well as a clip recording the woman asking the couple to return 3 million VND. She repeatedly asked this woman to pay the full 3 million VND before getting off the bus, even asking to work with the police if she was still stubborn.

At the end of the video clip, Thuy Tien said she had recovered the full amount of 3 million that this woman had embezzled. In addition, wherever she went to do charity work, there would be people to verify each area, and if there was any negativity, it would be handled. Currently, she said she was quite confident about giving money directly, without going through a guide.

Thuy Tien said she shared her story so that charities could be informed and avoid cases of infiltration, crying and telling stories that could lead charities to bad purposes. Thuy Tien said she was not afraid of getting into trouble and would get back everything if she was embezzled.

"Being kind to bad people is no different from a crime, what goes around comes around, if we don't speak up, many more people will be fooled by her in the future," Thuy Tien affirmed.
