Singer Y Jang Tuyn passed away at the age of 42 due to Covid-19

Singer Ha Quy - close friend of Y Jang Tuynconfirmed that the male singer passed away at 8:17 a.m. on September 20. He was informed by Ms. Ta Thi Hang - Y Jang Tuyn's wife. Currently, the family has contacted the service unit to complete the funeral procedures.

Y Jang Tuyn was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital on September 6 in a very serious condition and placed on ECMO (artificial heart-lung machine). The male singer had to use a ventilator to the maximum and had a blood clotting disorder.

When he first got sick, he was quarantined at a primary school near his home. For the first two weeks, the male singer's health was stable, although he had some difficulty breathing. Y Jang Tuyn was still able to text and chat with people. After that, Y Jang Tuyn was treated at Field Hospital No. 13 and was put on ECMO (artificial heart-lung machine) by doctors when his health worsened. He had high blood pressure as an underlying condition.

When he first got sick, the male singer considered being hospitalized as a "special business trip", reassuring his parents that he would return soon, and his friends who knew he was sick all commented encouragingly that he would receive good treatment and soon recover.

Y Jang Tuyn tested positive for Covid-19 in August.

When the male singer tested positive for nCoV-2, his wife and two children also had similar results. The whole family was quarantined at a primary school in District 12. After 2 weeks, the male singer's wife and two children returned home after testing negative.

Before testing positive for Covid-19, the male singer was still excited to celebrate his birthday via livestream. Y Jang Tuyn sang for everyone for 3 hours straight and encouraged everyone to be optimistic, love each other, and hold hands to overcome the difficulties of the epidemic.

Y Jang Tuyn was born in 1979. His achievements include: Third Prize Sao Mai 2001, Third Prize Television Singing 2003. Currently, he is a music editor at Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Radio.
