Tan Ky Police initiate criminal proceedings for illegal possession of narcotics.
(Baonghean.vn) -On June 18th, the Tan Ky District Police decided to initiate criminal proceedings against suspect Tran Van Roi for the crime of illegally possessing narcotics.
Accordingly, at 11 PM on August 13th, the Anti-Drug Team of Tan Ky District Police caught Tran Van Roi (born in 1967, residing in Bich Thai 2 hamlet, Nghia Thai commune) and several other individuals red-handed at Roi's house: Ho Minh Bao (born in 1972, residing in Giai Xuan commune); Do Van Thanh (born in 1976, residing in Nghia Hoan commune); Tran Thanh Ha (born in 1978, residing in Tan Xuan commune); and Nguyen Duy Khanh (residing in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district) using methamphetamine together inside Roi's house.
The seized items included 5 sets of methamphetamine paraphernalia and 1 packet of white powder. A search under the bed yielded an additional 6 packets of solid white powder (methamphetamine). The total weight of the seized drugs was 5.2 grams of methamphetamine. Two of the suspects, Thanh and Ha, had previous convictions and had recently been released from prison. Chung, Bao, and Roi had just returned from drug rehabilitation at the Social Labor Education Center 1, while Khanh was a former credit bank employee who had been dismissed due to drug addiction.

The case is under expanded investigation to determine the charges against the remaining suspects so that they can be prosecuted according to the law.
