Car inspection cycles you need to know

The next milestones are calculated specifically as follows: Vehicles manufactured under 7 years have an inspection cycle of 18 months, vehicles manufactured from 7 to 12 years have a cycle of 12 months and vehicles manufactured over 12 years have an inspection cycle of 6 months.
For passenger vehicles with less than 9 seats for transportation business and passenger vehicles of all types with more than 9 seats will be divided into 2 types.
For the above vehicles that have not been renovated, the first inspection cycle will be 18 months and the next cycle will be 6 months/time.
As for the above vehicles that have been modified to change their usage features or change the steering, braking, suspension and transmission systems, the first inspection cycle will be 12 months and the next will also be every 6 months.

In addition, passenger cars of all types with more than 9 seats that have been manufactured for 15 years or more; trucks of all types and tractors that have been manufactured for 20 years or more will have a minimum inspection cycle of 3 months/time.

Penalty if registration certificate expires According to Point c, Clause 4, Article 16 of Decree 46, which stipulates penalties for drivers of automobiles (including trailers or semi-trailers towed along) and similar vehicles violating regulations on vehicle conditions when participating in traffic: Fines from VND 2,000,000 to VND 3,000,000 for violations of driving vehicles with certificates or stamps of technical safety and environmental protection inspection but expired for less than 1 month (including trailers and semi-trailers).
