Agencies must promptly report official news about the 12th Party Congress.

On the eve of the 12th National Party Congress, hostile forces and elements that sabotage our Party and State have been increasing bad and toxic information on social networks.

Talking to Infonet reporters about this situation, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son said: "Fighting activities on social networks is a new form. In general, agencies such as the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Public Security and related ministries and sectors have actively and proactively implemented this activity. However, there are some localities and sectors that, because this is a new form, when encountering bad and toxic information on the Internet, they often do not implement it thoroughly. In the past, there were still some places that were confused about fighting bad and toxic information."

Minister Nguyen Bac Son emphasized: "People expect that all agencies must be quicker and more timely in refuting false information and providing official information in a timely manner, thereby contributing to limiting the spread of bad and toxic information."

Minister Nguyen Bac Son also recommended that agencies, ministries and branches must strictly implement the Regulation on speaking and providing information to the press (Regulation 25) issued by the Government.

"It is necessary to provide information to the press in a timely manner. Only then will we have the conditions to proactively attack false information, contribute to good orientation of public opinion, create social consensus before important events of the country, and protect the policies and guidelines of the Party and State in all situations," Minister Nguyen Bac Son noted.

Sharing more about the fact that in recent days, hostile forces have been increasingly trying to fiercely sabotage our Party and State, Minister Nguyen Bac Son said: "In recent times, although hostile forces and opposing elements have increasingly carried out false propaganda activities, especially taking advantage of the online environment to cause outrage in society, we believe that our people are always alert and calm in the face of this difficult situation and complicated developments, and have even more absolute trust in the Party.

Also according to Minister Nguyen Bac Son, in the coming time, we need to further promote information and propaganda work so that all people can see the plots and tricks of the enemy and hostile forces; so that all people are always aware of and vigilant in eliminating bad and toxic information, and do not access networks with such bad and toxic information.

At the same time, state agencies must also actively provide the most updated official information to the press and the people. When there are phenomena of information on the Internet that are incorrect about the local situation, the situation of sectors, levels, and enterprises, the spokespersons of enterprises, localities, ministries, and branches must immediately and seriously implement the spokesperson regulations, and provide information to the press in a timely manner to rebut strongly, clearly, quickly, and accurately such incorrect information, thereby repelling incorrect information."
