On June 1, the provincial working delegation led by comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the provincial exam steering committee inspected the preparation for the 10th grade high school entrance exam in a number of localities. |
In the 2017-2018 school year, 28,899 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam in the province. The Education Department established 59 examination councils and mobilized 2,793 invigilators.
Nghe An's 10th grade entrance exam will be held on June 6 and 7 with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language. Math and Literature will last 120 minutes and Foreign Language will last 60 minutes.

The delegation inspected the examination site of Hoang Mai High School. This year, the school had 751 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam. The examination council arranged 31 examination rooms and mobilized 71 invigilators.

Up to this point, the work of reviewing documents and preparing data has been completed. The Examination Council has made specific plans for the conditions of facilities, security and order, food safety, and fire prevention.
At Quynh Luu 2 High School - where 639 candidates registered to take the exam and were arranged in 28 exam rooms, the school is currently checking the exam registration information, posting the list of exam rooms, and notifying students to come to the school to receive their exam cards. Quynh Luu District is a large area, with a large number of candidates registered to take the exam, so in addition to the Quynh Luu 2 High School exam site, there are 3 other exam councils. Therefore, in addition to the preparation work to ensure the safety of the exam, the district also established a specialized team in charge of clearing traffic, resolving congestion or disorder around the exam site.

In Dien Chau district, in recent times, to strengthen propaganda for the national high school exams and the entrance exams for grade 10 high school, the education sector has coordinated with the district Radio and Television Station to regularly post information on exam regulations and notes when entering the exam room to all students and parents. At the same time, mobilize social organizations and community organizations to join hands to support candidates during the exam period.
After the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong highly appreciated the preparation work of the education sector and localities. At the same time, he requested that, in order to prepare for the upcoming exam and the national high school exam held on June 22, 23, 24, the education sector needs to coordinate with localities to re-check the exam sites to ensure absolute safety of the exam papers.
He also requested that localities provide sufficient electricity and water; pay attention to security and order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, and fire prevention; and require medical staff to be on duty at exam sites to support candidates.
Particularly in Quynh Luu and Dien Chau districts, where there are many complicated developments, the locality also needs to make contingency plans to ensure the best conditions for candidates taking the exam.
