Localities and units planted over 18,607 new trees.

(Baonghean) - As of yesterday (February 19th), 18 out of 20 districts and cities in the province, and 8 provincial-level departments and agencies had organized tree planting festivals, planting 18,607 trees of various types (17,721 trees prepared by the units themselves and 886 trees supported by the province).

Specifically: Districts planted 18,267 trees (17,520 self-prepared trees and 747 trees provided by the province); Departments and agencies planted 340 trees (269 self-prepared trees and 139 black star trees provided by the province). This year's tree planting festival was organized by localities on the 9th and 10th of the first lunar month with a serious spirit and a lively competitive atmosphere. Notably, the mountainous district of Quy Chau planted 6,560 forestry trees (lath, mahogany, mango, acacia).
