Localities respond to World Environment Day
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 2, localities in the province held rallies to respond to World Environment Day June 5, World Ocean Day June 8, National Week for Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation and Vietnam Sea and Island Week 2017.

Quynh Luu district has a 19.5 km long coastline with great potential for developing marine tourism. In recent years, the district has taken many active and synchronous measures to raise awareness among all classes of people about joining hands to protect the environment and clean the beach.
With the slogan "Protecting the environment, protecting the sea and islands is protecting our lives", at the rally, delegates and students learned about the meaning and importance of environmental protection as well as the harmful effects if the environment is seriously polluted.
Immediately after the rally, more than 400 delegates and students of Quynh Bang Secondary School started cleaning nearly 2km of Quynh Bang beach. This activity received enthusiastic participation from youth union members and students. Through this, it contributed to cleaning the beach, creating a clean and green landscape environment to promote the development of Quynh Luu beach tourism.

With the theme: Clean water and environmental sanitation for the comprehensive development of children, the Organizing Committee sent out the message: Each person, each day, should do a good deed to maintain environmental sanitation, protect water resources... in order to gradually improve the quality and living conditions of the people, contributing to the Party Committee, the government and the people joining hands to build new rural areas.
At the ceremony, representatives of 12 women's associations of Que Son commune participated in signing the environmental protection agreement in 2017. Immediately after the launching ceremony, 12/12 hamlets and villages of Que Son commune simultaneously launched a general environmental cleaning campaign.
