Localities receive and distribute rice to poor people for Tet

- Tuong Duong district has just received 250 tons of rice to support the poor during the Lunar New Year and the 2013 crop year.

According to the target, this time, the whole district has 18 communes and towns receiving rice distribution with a total of more than 9,700 households and more than 16,600 people. On average, each person is distributed 15 kg of rice in 1 month. In particular, units such as Nga My, Yen Na, Yen Thang, Luong Minh are remote and difficult communes that are given priority to distribute more quantity.

Immediately after the rice was transported to the district center, the district People's Committee mobilized cars and rented local motorboats to transport the rice to remote communes. In the outlying communes along National Highway 7, the district sent officials to directly follow the rice transport vehicles to the commune center to distribute to the villages. Thanks to the careful implementation, in just 2 days, January 26 and 27, Tuong Duong completed the distribution of rice to all communes and towns in the district.

- Thanh Chuong district was allocated 381 tons of rice to support poor people in communes in the area. To ensure the distribution of rice is fair, quick and convenient, from the district to the grassroots level, a steering committee has been established to conduct the evaluation and distribution of this amount of rice to the recipients. Accordingly, the district's plan is that all the rice will be distributed to 40 communes and towns in the area, with priority given to mountainous communes in difficult circumstances, heavily affected by recent storms and floods. 2 resettlement communes were allocated 142 tons of rice, more than 1/3 of the rice distributed in the entire district. After receiving the rice, the district is directing the communes to distribute it directly to poor households, to be completed before January 31, 2013.

- Nghia Dan District People's Committee has implemented rice distribution for poor households during the Lunar New Year and the 2013 crop year. Accordingly, Nghia Dan has 7,334 households, 12,071 people receiving rice, the total amount of rice provided is 183 tons, the support level is 15 kg/person/month, especially the Nghe An post-rehabilitation management center, the Nghia Dan District Blind Association, each unit is allocated 500 kg. Nghia Dan plans to complete the rice distribution before January 30, 2013. Nghia Dan District People's Committee has also established 5 delegations to inspect the rice distribution during the Lunar New Year.
