Nghe An's fellow countrymen won 3rd place at FAVIJA Kanto Cup (Japan)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 23, at the stadium in Saitama province, Japan, the final match of the FAVIJA Kanto Cup 2018 took place. The teams from Nghe An province won the Bronze Medal.
FAVIJA Kanto Cup 2018 is a football tournament for Vietnamese people in Japan in the Kanto region organized by the Embassy of Vietnam and the Vietnamese Football Association in Japan. This is an annual tournament and also one of the final events in the series of activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2018).

The qualifying round of the tournament started on December 9 with 32 teams participating. The final round had 16 teams competing, including 3 teams from Nghe An.
After 2 rounds, the tournament ended successfully, FC Tokai won the Championship, FC Thanh Hoa was the runner-up, 2 Nghe An teams FC 37 Kanto and FC Nghe Tinh shared the third prize, player Vo Van Bao - FC Nghe Tinh team won the title of top scorer.
