Parishes in the province organize Thanksgiving Week
(Baonghean.vn) - Recently, parishes celebrated the Eucharistic Adoration Week to begin the second 100-year cycle of this parish's adoration, and at the same time organized sports exchange activities between parishes.

At Phu Vinh parish (Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district)Attending the mass and activities during the week of adoration were many dignitaries from the Vinh Diocese, Ke Dua deanery, priests from the homeland and many male and female religious, and parishioners in the area. In particular, because the week of adoration took place at the end of the lunar year, many people working far away gathered to attend the week of adoration, making the week of adoration have many special meanings.

Continuously for a week, the dignitaries, monks and parishioners gathered to attend the holy masses and Eucharistic adoration hours; to perform the sacrament of reconciliation (forgiveness of sins committed by an individual). On the culminating day of the adoration week, the faithful gathered to commune and pray around the Eucharistic table, hoping that the faithful, especially the youth, would be more aware of contributing to renewing and beautifying the image of the parish; to be more fervent and enthusiastic in their life of faith, to build family life and the church.

The week of adoration of Phu Vinh parish ended with the Eucharistic rite. Through this rite, the entire community and believers hoped to receive many graces of God through the Eucharist, preserve their faith life and be more steadfast in a society with many changes and challenges.

Phu Vinh Parish, part of Ke Dua Diocese, currently has about 4,200 parishioners, led by Father Peter Nguyen Quyen. Although located in a purely agricultural area, where people live by growing rice, with the efforts of the parishioners and the joint efforts of the local Party Committee and government, the lives of the people here have continuously changed positively and rapidly. In the parish, there are many examples of good economic performance, escaping poverty, promoting the improvement of people's knowledge and creating momentum for long-term sustainable development.
