Regular maintenance of cars is necessary, helping to prolong the life of the car as well as ensuring smooth operation.

After 5,000 km

Car maintenance every 5,000 km will include items such as changing engine oil, cleaning the engine air filter and air conditioning filter. Changing engine oil at 5,000 km is not mandatory if the car is operated under normal conditions. However, after the first 5,000 km, the engine oil may contain metal particles, so you should change it.

After 10,000 km

In addition to the above items, at this level 2 maintenance, the experts will also check the air conditioner filter, change the engine oil filter, check the propeller shaft, vacuum pump and rotate the tires. Experts recommend that users should change the oil filter at the same time as the engine oil every 10,000 km.

For vehicles that travel 20-30 km/day, the engine oil should be changed according to this maintenance schedule. If the vehicle travels less than 20 km/day, the engine oil should be changed sooner, because when the vehicle is less active, the amount of oil will be more, and if left for a long time, it can clump and affect the engine.

After 20,000 km

In addition to the maintenance items as above 2 levels, this time the car will need to check the brake system to promptly detect brake pad wear, brake failure (if any). In addition, the car owner can do other items such as checking the wheel angle, cleaning the throttle, air conditioner cooling system...

After 40,000 km

At this level of maintenance, the vehicle will be inspected for all items and the fuel filter, transmission oil, differential oil, brake/clutch oil, power steering oil, and belt will be replaced. This is an important milestone, helping to protect the engine to operate better, reduce noise, and save fuel.

In particular, changing the gearbox oil and differential oil will help these parts operate more smoothly and quietly, allowing the transmission system to always operate effectively. Changing the air filter is to remove dirt and impurities that affect the fuel supply to the engine. Changing the brake oil and clutch oil to ensure brake operation, protecting the safety of passengers. Meanwhile, changing the power steering oil will help the steering become lighter and more comfortable. Changing the belt to avoid them cracking over a long period of use, reducing friction, leading to poor engine transmission performance.

After 100,000 km

After a long period of operation, the engine coolant can deteriorate, form deposits and affect the cooling system. Therefore, in addition to checking and maintaining the above items, the car owner needs to flush the radiator and replace the coolant periodically to ensure the engine does not overheat.

Regularly check items

To limit risks and have a safe, smooth trip on every journey, you need to regularly check parts and systems such as brakes, steering system, lights, dashboard warning lights, tires, battery, etc. If you see that the coolant or windshield washer fluid is below the specified level, you need to add more.
