Activities to help the poor at the end of 2018
(Baonghean.vn) - Many charity activities to help the poor took place in localities in the last days of 2018.
* During 2 days (December 29-30), a volunteer group went to Nhot Nhoong village, Nam Nhoong commune, Que Phong district to give gifts to poor people and students there.
The meaningful gifts to the people of Nam Nhoong were given by the volunteer group of the Experience Journey Club, including 40 warm blankets for 40 poor households; 50 warm uniforms for kindergarten and primary school students, and 50 other gifts of candy and clothes. The total value of the gifts is over 10 million VND.

The program "Live to love" presented 50 warm blankets, 50 warm coats, clothes, and candy to poor households and students, with a total value of 50 million VND.
* To share and encourage poor patients who have to stay in the hospital for a long time and cannot go home to celebrate New Year 2019.Thanh Vinh Love Porridge GroupCooked and donated 600 portions of nutritious porridge to poor patients at 2 Traditional Medicine Hospitals and Nghe An Tuberculosis Hospital.

This is also a weekly sharing and encouragement activity for poor patients of the Thanh Vinh Loving Porridge Pot Group that has been maintained for over a year.
* People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front - Red Cross Society of Tan Ky districtcooperated with Thien Tam Charity Association to successfully organize "Charity Music Night" on the evening of December 29 to raise funds to help those in unfortunate circumstances in the area.
Despite the drizzly and cold weather, the concert still took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. More than 3,000 audiences enjoyed many special performances by famous singers from Ho Chi Minh City and some singers from Nghe An Song and Dance Troupe.
The music night received support from many groups, individuals, philanthropists and children far from home in Tan Ky district. 10 gifts with a total value of 5 million VND were given to 10 disadvantaged people in the area.
The charity music night also organized an auction of beautiful phone numbers, all proceeds will be donated to the poor and orphans. As a result, the Organizing Committee raised 175 million VND. This amount will support nearly 3,000 unfortunate circumstances in Tan Ky district, with the hope of helping them have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday./.
