(Baonghean.vn) - On September 20, localities and organizations organized many practical charity activities to support the poor in Nghe An province.

*Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe AnIn coordination with benefactors, 50 million VND was donated to support the construction of a house of gratitude for the family of Mr. Luong Van Binh (born in 1963), son of martyr Luong Dinh Chuong, Hoa Ly village, My Ly commune, Ky Son district.

Mr. Luong Van Binh’s family has 6 members living together. In 2018, due to the impact of storm No. 4, Mr. Binh’s stilt house was flooded and had to be relocated. Since then, due to difficult circumstances, his family has had to live in a temporary tent.

It is known that this is the third house in Ky Son district supported by the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, of which 1 house was supported for repair and 2 were supported for new construction. In the coming time, the Association will continue to give 5 savings books, each worth 5 million VND, to 5 families of martyrs in difficult circumstances in Ky Son district.

Previously, on September 19, in Tuong Duong district, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs visited and presented 50 million VND to support the family of Mr. Lo Van Toan, son of martyr Lo Cam Khue, in La village, Luong Minh commune. Mr. Lo Van Toan's family is a poor family in the village, due to old age and poor health, they do not have enough money to build a solid house.

*Representatives of some philanthropistspresented 15.5 million VND to the family of patient Tran Thi Phuong, born in 1994, Da village, Nghia Lam commune, Nghia Dan district, who is being treated at Nghe An General Hospital. On her way home from work, Ms. Phuong unfortunately had a traffic accident, suffered very serious injuries, and a blood clot in the brain.

Mr. Lo Van Ninh's family, a member of the Veterans Association, was infected with toxic chemicals and is living in a dilapidated house.

Showing concern and sharing with comrades and teammates, the Association of Veteran Entrepreneurs of Nghe An province supported 60 million VND (from the source of support for building houses of gratitude of the Vietnam Association of Entrepreneurs), the remaining amount was helped by relatives; The Association of Veterans of the commune will donate some working days to support Mr. Ninh's family to build a new house.

The house is designed with an area of ​​over 90m2.2 with a total value of about 150 million VND, expected to be completed in December 2019.

It is known that this is the 37th gratitude house of the year supported by the Nghe An Veteran Entrepreneurs Association; from now until the end of 2019, the Association strives to support and contribute to the construction of 60 more gratitude houses for veteran members in difficult circumstances.

Mr. Sam Van Tan is 47 years old this year, often sick, and in extremely difficult circumstances. For many years, he, his wife and 3 children have lived in a cramped, dilapidated house. After more than 1 month, the Chau Cuong Commune Red Cross Society mobilized its members and people to donate more than 27 million VND, and the Quy Hop District Red Cross Society supported 23 million VND to help Mr. Tan's family build a house.

The 2-room, level 4 house is expected to be completed in December 2019.
