(Baonghean.vn) - On January 13 and 14, activities took place to give charity houses, repair military medical stations and give Tet gifts to the poor in the province.

*January 14, Logistics Department of Nghe An Provincial PoliceIn coordination with Que Phong District Police, Tien Phong Commune Party Committee organized the handover of a Great Solidarity house to the family of Ms. Hung Thi Xuan (Khmu ethnic group) in Phuong Tien 2 village, Tien Phong commune, Que Phong district.

It is known that Ms. Hung Thi Xuan's family is poor, in difficult circumstances, her husband died early and she has to raise 4 children alone, one of whom is paralyzed and bedridden. Previously, the family had to live in a temporary tent.

The Great Unity House given to the family has an area of ​​60m2.2, including 1 living room, 1 bedroom, heat-resistant corrugated iron roof with a total construction cost of 100 million VND. Of which, the Provincial Police Logistics Department supported 60 million VND, the family 20 million VND, benefactors supported 10 million VND and the local government supported construction materials and labor days to complete the construction of the house worth 10 million VND.

At the ceremony, the delegation also presented Ms. Xuan's family with a number of items such as tables, chairs, bedding, pillows, mattresses, water filters, and wheelchairs for the disabled worth 15 million VND.

*January 13, Vietnam Rural Magazine- The mouthpiece of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinated with the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province to organize the handover of works under the Border Love Program funded by Nong Thon Viet Magazine to repair the military medical station in Huoi Bac village, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Xuan Hung - Former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development - Chairman of Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development, leaders of the provincial Department of Agriculture and leaders of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

At Huoi Bac village, Bac Ly commune, the Organizing Committee of the Border Love Program - Nong Thon Viet Magazine presented 100 million VND from VietinBank to help renovate and repair the Huoi Bac Military-Civilian Medical Station.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Ho Xuan Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development expressed his excitement that the Huoi Bac Military-Civilian Medical Station has been renovated to meet the needs of the local military and people. In the coming time, the General Association will continue to coordinate with the local government and Border Guard forces to carry out activities to support the locality in economic development as well as social security.

Also at the ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the Border Love Program presented Huoi Bac Military-Civilian Medical Station with 20 million VND to continue upgrading some items of the project.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 100 Tet gifts to disadvantaged households in Bac Ly commune, each gift worth 500,000 VND, including cash and some necessities.

Next, the delegation presented Bac Ly Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities with a reading room worth 71 million VND including equipment and many valuable books.

On the same day, the delegation of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development visited Muong Long Ethnic Boarding Secondary School in Muong Long Commune, Ky Son District, Nghe An Province. Here, the Organizing Committee of the Border Love Program - Nong Thon Viet Magazine presented the school with 10 million VND and some books to serve the teaching and learning of teachers and students./.
