Practical charity activities to support the poor in Nghe An on August 25
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 25, many practical charity activities took place to support the poor in the province.
*The District Red Cross Society in coordination with Nghia Dan District Youth Unionand the Young Doctors Club organized medical examinations, consultations, and free medicine distribution for policy beneficiaries, parishioners, and people in especially difficult circumstances in Nghia An commune.

In the morning, 107 people were examined by doctors and nurses of the District Health Center for internal medicine, surgery, respiratory diseases, liver, heart, blood vessels, etc. During the examination, doctors and nurses advised patients on symptoms and treatment methods. For serious cases, doctors and nurses will refer them to higher-level hospitals.
At the program, policy beneficiaries, parishioners and people in especially difficult circumstances were given free medicine; with a total cost of nearly 30 million VND.

On this occasion, the Commune Youth Union presented each child with a gift of books and cash, worth 300,000 VND. This amount was taken from the proceeds from the sales of goods raised by the Youth Union members and young people during the summer and from the "For Quynh Hoa Youth" fund of the Commune Youth Union./.
