Forces supporting the recovery of flash floods in Que Phong
Due to the impact of heavy rain that lasted for a long time in the evening of May 28, flash floods occurred in Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district, causing severe damage to property, crops and livestock of local people.

On the morning of May 29, the delegation of the District People's Committee inspected the situation and directed the commune and functional forces to support people in overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters.
Hanh Dich Border Guard Station(Nghe An Border Guard) urgently mobilized 20 officers and soldiers directly commanded by Comrade Vi Thai Dat - Deputy Station Chief to be present at the scene to coordinate with local authorities to visit, encourage and work with people to clean up mud and soil, rebuild temporary huts, move belongings, and check the safety of the flash flood area.

In the immediate future, the Border Guard Station has allocated funds to support instant noodles, rice and drinking water for affected households, especially those whose houses were completely swept away. At the same time, it has coordinated with the commune government and functional forces to conduct damage statistics and develop a plan to support people to overcome the consequences and stabilize their lives.
Relief and recovery work is currently being urgently deployed. Hanh Dich Border Guard continues to closely monitor the area, support people in cleaning up, reinforcing temporary structures and restoring production, contributing to helping people stabilize their lives soon after the natural disaster.

Previously, at around 9:00 p.m. on May 28, a heavy rain occurred in the areas named Qua and Xang in Long Thang village (old Muong Dan village), Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district. The heavy rain, which occurred suddenly, caused water bubbles to accumulate and burst, a huge amount of water created a flood that rushed to Long Thang village, sweeping away some areas of crops, trees, and houses.
According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Hanh Dich commune, the flash flood collapsed and swept away 3 temporary huts, buried 10.7 hectares of rice, 2.1 hectares of crops, 0.8 hectares of acacia and cinnamon. Damage to livestock included: 1 buffalo, 3 pigs, 100 chickens, 70 ducks. In addition, the flood also swept away 0.9 hectares of fish ponds, damaged many properties such as rice threshers, plows, milling machines, mobile phones and motorbikes. A spillway collapsed, 7 electric poles were broken. The total estimated damage was about 3.1 billion VND.
